We did Zola and Qhama’s maternity session a few weeks ago and they were both fantastic! The apple obviously doesn’t fall far from the tree, because little Kuhle was so good during his newborn session- he hardly made a peep the whole time! So adorable and I completely fell in love with his gorgeous little cheeks!
Oh this little boy is just too gorgeous!!! Meet baba Finnley Kai @ just 7 days old. We captured him on his first day too in the hospital- you can view those pics here.
Had so much fun breaking out some of the old newborn props and using some new ones (how cute is that Christmas stripe hat!!!) – I love getting creative with newborn photography sessions!. That first week of life is so incredible for the new parents and it really is one of my favourite things to capture because I always know that in a few months, a few years, and even a few decades from now, the family will all look back and think, “was he really ever THAT tiny???!”. It is such a short period of time full of so much joy and emotion and it just flies by so fast. Knowing these photos will be cherished for literally a lifetime makes all the effort of prop searching and having to take countless breaks for crying and feeding 110% worth it!
Wayne and Jenny are actually our daughter’s godparents! They were some of our first friends here in the beautiful Cape Town and are, quite possibly, the most amazing couple we have ever known. We have been waiting for them to decide to start a family for ages now and we are so happy to announce that that family is finally here!!!! Little Rafael was born on the 1st of April and is just the cutest lil thing you ever did see! Congrats guys! So happy your little miracle is safe in your arms at last!
We did this Portrait Session at their home instead of in our studio- and I must say I soooo prefer the beauty and softness of natural light over the harshness in the studio- we got some really great unique shots as well since I had a fresh backdrop in their garden :)

Remember the beautiful Lynette from her maternity session last month?!? Well, that beautiful bump of hers is now a beautiful baby girl named Maddison. LOVE that name! Wish you guys all the best as you begin this new season of life with one of God’s most amazing gifts. Thank you for allowing me to capture such a special time in your story.
What a cutie!! I’ve re-named this shoot “cupcakes”!! She looks soooo adorable on that cake stand! I love babies. My baby is no longer a baby, so I take every chance I get to hold one :)
We absolutely love when we get asked to do a newborn photography shoot! We had heard about this beautiful family through friends of ours a few months ago and we so happy to finally meet them and their beautiful baby boy! He was a bit older than we usually do for these sessions so to keep him still for very long was incredibly challenging and a lot of fun!!
